Overview
Ethereum Bratislava is a hackathon and conference dedicated to advancing the ecosystem of Ethereum, the world's second-largest cryptocurrency. Such events are held globally in cities like Denver, Berlin, Prague, Rome, Belgrade, Zurich, and Kyiv. My team and I successfully brought this concept to Slovakia.
Brutalism/Concrete/Sharpness and moody shades of color
The visual identity draws inspiration primarily from the post-communist architecture of Bratislava. Iconic landmarks such as the Slovak Radio building, the television tower, and the UFO bridge play a pivotal role in shaping the entire visual style. Brutalism and massive concrete elements are reflected in sharp corners and regularly irregular shapes throughout the design. These melancholic and dark aesthetics are complemented by bold color shades.
Web design and development
Web design is an integral part of creating a visual identity. In this project, I faced the challenge of web page development, which I tackled using the no-code tool Framer. If you're curious about how the designer developed the site, take a look for yourself.
Use across digital and physical space
Ethereum Bratislava was a highly demanding project requiring extensive graphic design work across both physical and digital environments. This included creating AR merchandise, social media posts, press kit, presentations, rollups, posters, videos, illustrations, and much more.
