Overview
This project was created during my time at the brand design studio Birne, where I was involved in 2022/23. I worked closely with one of the most talented idea-maker and copywriter, Anet, and brand designer Jakub. I was responsible for the visual identity and UX design of the website.
Let's get a bite…
Rebranding of IT company, previously known as Vector and based in Bratislava, Slovakia, was a challenge that we embraced with both creativity and practicality.
We crafted a new name, visual language, and overall brand identity inspired by 8-bit, 90s games, and pixel art. Simultaneously, the new branding extends the connection to processors and hardware, highlighting them as the core of our software and PCB boards.
What were the ingredients?…
A printed circuit board: PCB consists of a sandwich structure, with a minimum of 2 or more layers stacked on top of each other. It is literally a sandwich. They symbolize the personification of technology and our client's work, with hardware serving as the heart of all software.
Bytes and Bits: I know how to take a bite out of a sandwich, metaphorically creating a "byte." In the digital world, a byte is the fundamental unit of data, consisting of 8 bits.
Number 8: The number 8 is often seen as a symbol of infinity, mirroring the infinite values a vector can possess. It represents continuous progression and limitless possibilities.
Biting creatures and sandwich
Inspired by 8-bit graphics and 90s games, we developed a personalized visual language for team members, along with an iconography used throughout brand communications. These characters, designed on a 12x12 grid, are complemented by line art illustrations of Sandwich, who explains the client's work process on the website.
Do you have a taste for web?…
For this project, I also designed a website. The site seamlessly integrates our personalized visual language and iconography, creating an engaging and unique user experience. This design not only showcases the brand's visual identity but also enhances the overall communication strategy.
Are you full already? I still got something to show you
If there's still time, I have a small dessert prepared. Only few more bites. It involves applying the visual identity across presentations, social media, various campaigns, and more.
